ATOMIUM

The Atomium (French: [atɔmjɔm], Dutch: [aːˈtoːmijəm]) is a landmark[2] building in Brussels, Belgium, originally constructed for the 1958 Brussels World's Fair (Expo '58). It is located on the Heysel/Heizel Plateau in Laeken (northern part of the City of Brussels), where the exhibition took place. Nowadays, it is the most popular tourist attraction in Brussels, and serves as a museum, an art centre and a cultural place.

In this project, I'm interested on the extrinsic shape of the Atomium, so I began capturing the shapes that stood out for me, and that is the shape of the metal balls and the metal rods that overlapped if you see it from another point of view, so it gives layers of dimension in the photos. And I transformed all the photos to a monotone color, because it looks minimal, futuristic and very alien-looking.
